Cupertino Permit Center Has Friday Virtual Hours and Closes November 11 and Thanksgiving

CUPERTINO — November 2, 2026. Cupertino’s Community Development Department offers in-person permit counter service Monday through Thursday, with a separate virtual counter on Fridays.

How weekday hours differ

The city lists Monday and Wednesday counter opening at 7:30 a.m., while Tuesday and Thursday service begins at 9 a.m. All four in-person days have a noon-to-1 p.m. lunch break and close at 4 p.m.

Remote help on Friday

Friday’s virtual counter is listed from 7:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Planning and building questions may require appointments or specific application materials, so a virtual counter should not be mistaken for automatic permit approval.

Upcoming closures

The office lists Veterans Day on November 11 and November 26–27 for Thanksgiving as closures. Applicants planning construction should account for staff reviews and public notices when setting deadlines.
